As Chief Financial Officer for Fayetteville Public Schools, Lisa oversees the business and financial operations of the district. This includes managing the school's business processes in the following areas: payroll, accounts payable, fixed assets, cash management, budgeting, accounting, and fringe benefits.
Lisa spent five years at the University of Arkansas in accounting and finance followed by six years at the Fayetteville Schools. Lisa went back to school to complete her MBA while employed with the University. During that time, she met the school board president who recruited her to come to the Fayetteville Public Schools.
Playing with computers at her dad's office and at home, Lisa's first "tech" experience was punching mainframe cards at age five. By the time she was 7 she had mastered "pong" and "brick out" (in black and white on a computer her dad brought home).
Lisa is active in both state and national business officials groups, having presented at conferences of the Arkansas Association of School Business Officials, the Arkansas Association of Curriculum Instruction, and the National Association of School Business Officials International.
Lisa enjoys spending time with her daughter, Lena, husband, Paul, and making jewelry. One thing most people don't know about her is that she was a radio DJ in college!
