The following free online tools were previously featured.

BatchGEO

Batchgeo is a mapping tool that allows you to simply copy and paste data from a spreadsheet into their web-based system to generate an interactive map. Create a public map for your school community displaying location of public libraries or create a private map showing you the location of your students who participate in the free and reduced lunch program to help analyze trends.

See examples of BatchGEO maps for the CA TICAL Cadre and the AR TICAL Cadre.

This digital story was created using Animoto, a free online tool that generates short videos that look professionally produced. Simply upload photos and/or videos, add text, and music to create your own digital story. Highlight promising classroom projects, spotlight student engagement, or reflect upon the year! Social Publishing Platforms

Scribd and Issuu are two sites which provide social publishing platforms. They allow you to upload and immediately share documents over the web, customize the document display, and embed the output directly in your school or district Web site.

Take a look (below) at California's Free Digital Textbook Initiative Report, about open-source textbooks that meet the California content standards (or download the pdf from the CLRN Web site).

Free Digital Textbook Initiative Report

Social publishing platforms allow you to browse the document directly within the Web site without ever downloading it!

Put a fresh look on student handbooks, board minutes, acceptable use policies (AUPs), and much more. Try it out by signing-up for the one of these free services!
